Your Designs
At Gibraltar Custom Builders, we can build projects from plans you provide or design it for you from scratch. We are experienced in all residential and light commercial construction including additions and whole house remodel. Gibraltar Custom Builders can build your dream home in a subdivision or on your own lot. We specialize in historically accurate restoration, preservation, and reproduction.
About the Owner
After nearly 15 years in the building industry, Brett Black opened his own design-build company, Gibraltar Custom Builders, in October 2004. Following his dream to build uniquely designed projects, Brett uses old-fashioned craftsmanship to create homes with timeless beauty. His experience as a carpenter, crew leader, and construction manager laid the groundwork for producing high quality finished projects. But his awards for outstanding customer service, high-level safety, and on-time and on-budget completion affirm his passion for pleasing others and meeting client needs. Brett has lived in the Granville area since 2004 with his wife Teresa and their four children. He enjoys spending time with his family and being involved in community life.

Meet the Team
As Crew Leader, James Triplett III, will ensure that a ‘customer’ and ‘quality’ approach will be used to complete each project. His objective is to efficiently use time and materials to achieve the project goals. James enjoys hunting, fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Karen Collins is our Interior Designer and Office Manager. A residential and commercial designer since 1992, she also received accreditation as a color designer in 2020. Karen enjoys reading, traveling, good food, and spending time with her husband, family & friends.
